GRTSB Pledge

Our Gypsy, Traveller, Roma, Showmen and Boaters’ Pledge

At Gainford C of E Primary School, we are dedicated to creating an inclusive and supportive environment for all pupils, including those from Gypsy, Traveller, Roma, Showmen, and Boater backgrounds. Our Christian vision and core values guide the daily experiences of our school family, helping each member grow and develop to flourish in every aspect of their lives.

We believe that the diversity within our school community enriches the educational and social experiences of everyone. We understand that individuals from GTRSB communities may face societal pressures and pre-judgement, which can affect their self-esteem and sense of belonging. Therefore, we are committed to ensuring that every person in our school is treated fairly and with respect, no matter their background or identity.

As educators, we view it as our duty to stand against injustice and to create a school community where every child can flourish. We believe that every pupil deserves an environment that promotes equality and celebrates individual differences. Our aim is not just to encourage academic success but also to help our pupils become compassionate and understanding members of society.
